REIKI
Harrison Davis is a credentialed Reiki Master, trained to help relax, rejuvenate and foster the healing process within the human body and mind.
As you probably already know, your body is designed to heal injuries and insults to itself automatically. Whether you suffer a sprain, a scratch, or a deeper gash, or are exposed to health-challenging allergens and other insults or injuries, your body goes into action immediately to correct and heal whatever has happened to it.
The same is true when you’re exposed to insults and injuries that aren’t outright assaults on your physical being. Among these insults and injuries are slander, verbal abuse, another’s callousness, distress, spiritual attacks … and the list goes on.
You know you’re battling something physical, spiritual, or mental (psychic) whenever you feel on edge; that is, whenever you feel self-protective or anxious for reasons you may not even be able to identify.
Needless to say, in today’s super-stressful, competition-driven, pollution-packed world, your mind and body often fight uphill battles on a minute-by-minute basis in their quest to reclaim and retain their self-healing properties.
Reiki practitioners help their clients reach deep levels of calmness and relaxation so their immune systems can focus laser-like on self-healing. Some clients associate what happens during a Reiki session to meditation.
The Reiki Session Explained: Clients lie fully-clothed on a comfortable surface in a comfortable setting. The Reiki Master slowly (almost imperceptibly) moves his or her hands over various parts of the body to "direct" your body’s healing energies to the perceived location of the body’s "insult" or challenge. At the end of a Reiki session, clients report feeling much better, lighter, and more able to handle life’s challenges without "seizing up", "cracking up" or "melting down" and the fight-or-flight area of your brain gets a much-needed rest so your mind and body can focus on rejuvenation instead of self-protection.
